Gayane Manasyan (Ganna Frans) (born August 25, 1984) is an established artist with a diverse educational background. She pursued her studies at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts in Tbilisi, Georgia, where she earned her BFA, in 2013. At the same time, she furthered her academic journey at Tbilisi State University, where she obtained a Ph.D. in English Philology for the Doctoral thesis Cognitive Analysis of Color Terms, 2013. Later, in 2015, she gained admission to the MFA program at the New York Academy of Arts.
Gayane’s artworks have found their place in numerous esteemed public collections. Notable among these are the Ministry of Diaspora of Armenia, the Armenian Embassy in Georgia (Tbilisi), the Catholic Church in Georgia, and the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia. Additionally, her captivating works have become cherished additions to various private collections across Eastern and Western Europe, as well as Asia.
With an impressive artistic journey spanning over a decade, Gayane Manasyan has participated in approximately fifty group exhibitions and two solo shows: Re-generation (2017) reviewed by art expert David Andriadze and Ikigai curated by Alexandr Piradov and presented by Tamar Belashvili and Khatuna Kikvadze (2023).
Her art has graced venues across multiple regions, including the South Caucasus, Eurasia, and Europe. Noteworthy exhibitions have taken place in prestigious locations such as the Chelsea Old Town Hall Museum and Kensington Town Hall in London.
Beyond the borders of her homeland, Gayane’s influence has traversed international boundaries. Her creations have been embraced by private collectors in diverse countries, including England, Japan, and Qatar.
Currently residing and creating in Tbilisi, Georgia, Gayane Manasyan, also known by her artistic name Ganna Frans, draws abundant inspiration from the rich cultural tapestry of her surroundings. The city serves as a wellspring of creativity for her ongoing artistic endeavors.
